DAISY Award Nominee Spotlight: Linda Ruamthong, RN, BSN

Linda Ruamthong, RN, BSN, is proudly recognized as a DAISY Award nominee for her exceptional dedication to patient care and unwavering compassion. She serves as a Mental Health Case Manager at Kadena Air Base with the 18th Medical Group under Goldbelt’s U.S. Air Force Medical Services contract supporting the Defense Health Agency.

In her role as the Mental Health Case Manager, Linda works on a contract managed by Program Manager Jen Juliano, ensuring DHA standards are consistently met while delivering safe, reliable, and patient-centered care. She has quickly become the cornerstone of a busy and high-risk mental health clinic.

Linda manages complex patient cases with calm professionalism and remarkable clinical skill, directly improving patient safety and restoring confidence among providers and staff. Her leadership during high-pressure situations, including coordinating care across multiple agencies, has made a lasting impact on both patients and the care team. Beyond her clinical excellence, Linda is known for her warmth and humanity. She supports her colleagues with the same compassion she shows her patients, recognizing stress, offering encouragement, and creating moments of kindness that uplift the entire clinic.
